If you found this page after visiting Move to JBLM, I’m really glad you’re here. Most people who reach out already connected with Alice first. They got to know our family through her videos, her trail walks in DuPont, and her honest take on PCS life. She created Move to JBLM because so many military spouses told her how hard it was to figure out where to live, how the base worked, and what daily life looked like here.
I’m lucky because I get to be the person she passes the baton to. If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re getting ready for a PCS to JBLM or you’re trying to understand the area a little better. My goal is to make this next step feel simple and grounded.
When we PCSed here in 2020, everything felt like a leap of faith. We drove across the country with our dog, a truck full of furniture, and Alice pregnant in the passenger seat. We bought our duplex sight unseen during the height of the pandemic. It was a season filled with unknowns, but we figured it out one call, one question, and one decision at a time. I bring that same calm, step-by-step energy to every family I help.
There’s no pressure on this page and no expectation that you’re ready to buy. I’m here to make the process feel manageable, whether your move is next month or half a year away.
The people who reach out to me are usually military families who’ve already spent time learning from Alice on MovetoJBLM.com. They’ve seen the neighborhoods through her eyes, felt reassured by her stories, and now want help connecting the dots.
I help:
Families PCSing to JBLM who want clear, factual information
Remote buyers who can’t visit before choosing a home
People sorting through commute times and daily routines
Families comparing renting vs buying during a PCS
Anyone who wants to understand the Washington buying process
People who prefer a calm, patient guide who takes time to educate.
My goal is to help you understand the area and the process so you can make a decision that feels right for your family.
I served in the Army and now in the National Guard, so I understand the pace, uncertainty, and short timelines that come with service. I also know what it’s like to arrive in the PNW without knowing the different lifestyles, the neighborhoods or the weather.
Alice and I have lived here for several years. We’ve raised our kids here, explored the trails, figured out weekend routines, and helped many families adjust to the area. Because we bought sight unseen ourselves, I take remote buying very seriously. I walk families through everything step by step so they feel informed and confident, even from across the country.
Most people tell me they appreciate the professional, no-pressure approach. I’m here to answer questions, explain the process, and help you map out your PCS timeline.
You can reach out in whatever way feels most comfortable.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You can reach out early, ask a few questions, and take it from there.

Absolutely not. Many families buy remotely. I provide detailed video tours, walk you through the home, and coordinate with inspectors so the process feels clear and organized.
Most families reach out 3 to 6 months ahead, but some reach out much earlier when orders are still up in the air.
Yes, especially for military families. With the right process, it can be done safely and confidently.
Washington uses escrow companies as neutral third parties. They handle documents, funds, and closing coordination in a clear step-by-step process.
Yes. I work with a lot of VA buyers and can explain the process in simple, straightforward terms.
It’s relaxed. We talk about your needs, your timeline, and any questions you have. There’s no pressure.

Selling our family's first home was a significant milestone, and we wanted to ensure we found the best realtor to guide us through the process. From our very first interaction, Bond stood out. He answered all our questions with such clarity and expertise that we instantly felt like we were in great hands. We were particularly impressed with the personalized booklet he created for our property, which not only showcased our home but also addressed all our concerns, even beyond our earlier discussions. With a baby on the way and a move across the country looming, we truly appreciated how smoothly Bond made everything go. The cherry on top? Just four days after listing our house online, we received an incredible offer—above our asking price! If you're looking for a realtor, especially if you're military, look no further than Bond Finseth at Windermere Real Estate! As a veteran, he just gets it – the stresses of PCSing, retiring, and relocating. We were in a seriously tough spot, retiring from the military and moving overseas in a very short window. Bond was a lifesaver. We always felt like Bond put us first. His communication was amazing – even after we'd moved abroad, he worked around the time difference and kept us in the loop constantly. He really went to bat for us and handled the whole sale honestly and accurately. We were already living overseas when our house listed, sold, and closed, and Bond managed everything flawlessly.
