They got to know our family through her videos, her trail walks in DuPont, and her honest take on PCS life. She created Move to JBLM because so many military spouses told her how hard it was to figure out where to live, how the base worked, and what daily life looked like here.
I’m lucky because I get to be the person she passes the baton to. If you’re here, it’s probably because you’re getting ready for a PCS to JBLM or you’re trying to understand the area a little better. My goal is to make this next step feel simple and grounded.
When we PCSed here in 2020, everything felt like a leap of faith. We drove across the country with our dog, a truck full of furniture, and Alice pregnant in the passenger seat. We bought our duplex sight unseen during the height of the pandemic. It was a season filled with unknowns, but we figured it out one call, one question, and one decision at a time. I bring that same calm, step-by-step energy to every family I help.

Absolutely not. Many families buy remotely. I provide detailed video tours, walk you through the home, and coordinate with inspectors so the process feels clear and organized.
When should we start planning our PCS?
Most families reach out 3 to 6 months ahead, but some reach out much earlier when orders are still up in the air.
Is sight-unseen buying normal?
